Canary版 build 27934.1

Update内容は小生には、ほぼ関係がない。

詳細は以下のとおり。

• Release date: August 29, 2025 (Canary Channel).
• Primary focus: stability and reliability fixes across windowing, terminal defaults, and UWP app behavior.
• Notable fixes:
• Reduced DWM (Desktop Window Manager) crash frequency that could produce a brief black flash.
• Fixed a regression where non‑elevated launches of cmd.exe from Run could open Windows Console Host instead of the configured default, Windows Terminal.
• Addressed underlying causes for certain UWP apps crashing while scrolling.
• Known issues highlighted by Microsoft:
• Settings > System > Storage > Temporary files may get stuck when scanning.
• Visual/color problems in This PC when File Explorer is in dark mode (low space indicator colors wrong).
• A critical regression: “Reset this PC” (Settings > System > Recovery) will not work on this build — Microsoft says it will be fixed in the next Canary flight; as a workaround, roll back to the previous build to perform a reset.

小生としては仮想PCで動作すればOK。むしろUpdateしない版を待つというのが本音でもある。

そもそも週単位でUpdateされても、あまり意味がない。大きな変動なんてないよね。

1年後のbuildupを想像してみてCanary版 build 29xxx.1と想定されたものが、Windows11 26H2かWindows12となるのか分からない。しかし小さな変動なので、小生にはWindowsのための新CPUなんて必要がない。まだ使用可能なLegacy CPUで問題がないし、aarch64へシストもしている。

Windows Updateで動作するx64 VMware Canary版 build 27934.1

【Music Center for PC】でCDリッピングするためにVMを立ち上げたら、Windows Updateで降りてきた。

今buildupする必要もないVMware Canary版 build 27928.1

小生としては小ぶりのUpdateはできれば避けたいところ・・・

Legacy PC上のVMware17環境ということで、むしろエラーの表示のほうが注目度は高くなる。

x64 VMware Canary版 build 27934.1 とupされても

しばらく毎週WUで降ろされてくるのか。

クリーンインストールしたaarch64 BVM Canary版 build 27934.1

Sonyさんの【Music Center for PC】がaarch64版Windows11では動作不能（メーカー対応してほしいが）なので、本来用途には合致していない。ただx64 VMware17版と同一buildにするためだけのUpdateである。

単純作業なので、どの箇所か省略インストールができないかどうかを試すも、そんな手抜きは受け付けられもせず。

aarch64 BVM Canary版クリーンインストール　楽な方法はある？

shutdown を仕込んで、就寝中にbuildupさせるのが一番お手軽な作業なのかもしれない。

Windows Update BVM 版 Windows11 24H2  build 26100.5074

aarch64 BVM 24H2版はWindows Updateでbuildupできる。ということはTPM等ブロックチェックが省略されているのだろう。

将来TPM等ブロックチェックはWindows Update毎になるのだろうか

毎回チェックSoftwareを仕込むのが面倒ということか。

緊急性があるのかもしれないが、それなら毎回TPM等ブロックチェックする必要があるのでは。

vTPM非掲載であるBVMの使いみちがないわけではない。（ホントかよ）動作しないSoftwareの存在も気になる。

Windows11 build 26100.5074とbuild 26200.5074の違いは何だ

そろそろvTPM掲載のQemu関連の学習も進めてみようかと思う。ただGPU周りの解析がない状態は個人ユーザーにはどうしようもない。

25H2はマイナーレベルで負担にはならないだろうし、本命のDebian【Trixie】もマイナー路線と聞いているけど。なら試す必要はないような気もする。

Raspberry pi 6はまだまだ先であるし、静かな秋を望むところである。
